At AFS all lab work, sonograms and procedures are done right in our offices by our permanent staff members. By providing supportive, consistent care givers and making our environment as pleasant, comfortable and convenient as possible, we strive to maximize each patient's physical and emotional well-being and minimize patient "burnout."

Laboratory Services
The Endocrinology and Andrology Laboratories of Advanced Fertility Services, P. C. provide our physicians and their patients with clinical testing services which are necessary for their infertility treatments. All testing procedures are carried out on the premises so that results are rapidly available and accessible. Our laboratories are classified and certified as a High Complexity Testing facility under CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act) and licensed by the New York State Health Department. Tests are performed by certified medical laboratory technicians and technologists under the supervision of Herbert A. Platt, Ph.D. (Endocrinology) and Hugh D. Melnick, MD (Andrology).

It is the policy of the laboratory to promote continuing review, analysis and improvement of methods, procedures, equipment and personnel. The laboratory directors and staff assure that all diagnostic services continue to meet all the requirements of the Health Care Financing Administration (CLIA) and the New York State Health Department.
