This
section is mostly for new comers to the chat scene who want
to know about those little text characters people are always
placing in the chat rooms. The key to good online discussions
is to think of the virtual conversations as an actual dialogue
with real people. As in a one on one or group setting a smile
or a wink can go a long way in live communication, and, for
online communication, 'emoticons' can make a similar contribution
to your interaction. Emoticons (also known as smileys) are human-face
drawings composed of text characters, and they help express
emotions online, this makes it more dynamic . Here are just
a few:
:) = smile
;) = wink
:D = laughing
:( = frown
:'( = crying
>:-} is a devil
0:-) is an angel
{ } = hug
:* = kiss
:X = my lips are sealed
:P = sticking out tongue
